Ontario has two social assistance programs to help eligible residents of Ontario who are in financial need. The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) helps people who have disabilities financially and with help finding a job. Ontario Works helps people who are in temporary financial need and also offers both financial and employment assistance.
There are also several other tax credits you can get to help you with living and business costs. If you are a parent or planning to become a parent, you may be eligible for financial assistance to help you support and provide for your child through benefits like the Canada Child Tax Benefit or Universal Child Care Benefit program.
